<div>Hi, my name is María, and I’ve dreamed of becoming a veterinarian since I was a child. Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and I want to dedicate my life to caring for them and making a difference in the world.

<div>In high school, I joined the veterinary program and several student clubs that helped shape my path. With hard work and passion, I was accepted into multiple universities—but I proudly chose <strong>Iowa State University, one of the top schools for Animal Science.</strong>

<div>Iowa State has already offered me generous financial aid, for which I’m incredibly grateful. However, I still need help covering the remaining costs of tuition, housing, books, and school expenses.

<div>Recently, my family faced a heartbreaking challenge. My dad suffered a serious heart attack, and doctors discovered complications in one of his main arteries. It was a terrifying time, and while we’re grateful he’s recovering, the emotional and financial strain on our family has been overwhelming.

<div>Durante la preparatoria, formé parte del programa de veterinaria y de varios clubes estudiantiles que me ayudaron a definir mi camino y fortalecer mi pasión. Gracias a mi esfuerzo y dedicación, fui aceptada en varias universidades, pero con mucho orgullo elegí la Universidad Estatal de Iowa, una de las mejores del país en Ciencias Animales.

Fue una experiencia aterradora para todos, y aunque estamos agradecidos de que esté recuperándose, la carga emocional y financiera ha sido muy dura para mi familia.
