<div>Much has happened since our last update.
</div>
<div>Libby was finally able to receive her life saving bone marrow transplant on October 16, 2025. In order to prepare her bone marrow for the transplanted stem cells, she endured massive doses of chemotherapy and total body radiation. Needless to say, she has experienced tremendous fatigue, nausea , vomiting, rashes, hair loss and significant weakness during this intense procedure, which
</div>
<div>includes social isolation from being sequestered to a hospital room for over 3 months. She has been essentially bedridden since July which has challenged her mobility requiring assistance with a walker.
</div>
<div>She was discharged from the inpatient bone marrow transplant unit in early November. Libby and Luke are housed at a facility across the street from the hospital. This is provided by a charitable organization called Brent's Place. Brents Place offers housing for patients and families who need to be close to the hospital for continuous medical treatment. Libby is required to stay within 30 minutes of the hospital for 100 days, and must have a 24/7 caregiver with her. Luke has been her constant companion and has been at her bedside since her admission in July. Due to Libby's condition, and Luke needing to be her caregiver, they have both been unable to work. Ultimately her position as Nurse Practitioner, that she loved dearly, was eliminated.

<div>Libby has endured so much these past 4 months physically, emotionally and socially. She has been away from her friends, her work, her home, and her beloved dogs.
</div>
<div>Despite this, Libby's persistence, strength, ability to maintain her optimism and steadfast faith is without a doubt remarkable and inspiring. November 21st was an epic day. She received much needed good news that her bone marrow biopsy showed that the donated stem cells transplanted into her bone marrow demonstrated engraftment... an early but tenuous sign of success. She has a long, arduous road ahead and will be unable to return to her work for at least a year.

<div>September 2nd 2025 - Update from Libby's Care Team,
</div>
<div>Libby was medically flown back to University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver. She is currently in the ICU on a ventilator as a result of her aggressive Leukemia. Chemo therapy continues in an effort to get her to minimal residual disease, with the goal being a bone marrow transplant. Needless to say, she is in critical condition and your prayers and support are essential and greatly appreciated.

<div>I have been diagnosed and hospitalized at the University of Colorado with a rare and aggressive early TCell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. (ETP-ALL). My course of treatment involves a 30 day hospitalization for induction of intensive chemotherapy followed by allogeneic stem cell transplant. The stem cell transplant will require another 28 days in the hospital. I will then need to remain locally in Denver within 30 miles of the hospital for a minimum of 100 days.
</div>
<div>UC Health Denver is nationally recognized as a Center of Excellence for the type of leukemia I have been diagnosed with. This course of treatment will dramatically impact all aspects of my life, including income, housing, medical insurance and related out of pocket costs.
</div>

<div>I am grateful that so many patients, friends, colleagues and acquaintances have reached out to show their concern and lend support. Never would I have imagined that I would be in a position where life would lead me to ask for this type of help. But here I am.
