<div>Hello family, friends, and community. I am writing on behalf of my cousin, Leo. As many of you know Leo has been fighting stage 5 kidney failure for four years. This has been an extremely difficult time for him emotionally, physically, and mentally. Leo has completely changed his whole life style to fight this battle. He is currently getting his kidney dialysis treatments 3 times a week for 3.5 hours per visit. He recently went to his annual check up in UCLA and was told that Leo’s name is high up on the kidney transplant waiting list. When leo gets the special call he has to drop everything and arrive to UCLA within 2 hours for his miracle kidney. There is no planning time, this is it. Leo and his wife, Franny, both currently work full time jobs however, they will be out of work as Franny will be taking a leave of absence to support him. His recovery is estimated 3 months. During that time they will need to temporarily relocate to a home that has no stairs, possibly with family or friends. Currently they live in an upstairs apartment. They will also need to travel to UCLA 3 times a week the first month, then twice a week, then once a week until he is cleared. That will roughly be the 3 months recovery period. I am asking you all for any contribution you can make to help them get through this time. The funds will go to any expected and unexpected medical bills, prescription costs, travel expenses for the many trips to UCLA, loss wages not covered, unexpected lodging if necessary, and any other unexpected related costs. No amount is too large or too small. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

<div>Hola familia, amigos y comunidad. Les escribo por parte de mi primo Leo. Como ya unos de ustedes saben Leo a estado luchando por cuatro años contra insuficiencia renal etapa 5. Este ha sido un momento extremadamente difícil emocionalmente, fisico y mentalmente para Leo. El ha cambiado completamente todo su estilo de vida para pelear esta batalla. Tres veces por semana el recive diálisis renal y cada sesíon dura 3.5 horas. Recientemente fue a su chequeo anual en UCLA y le informaron que su nombre esta en lo alto de la lista de trasplantes de riñón. Cuando consiga esa llamada especial, Leo necesitara llegar a UCLA dentro de dos horas para recevir su riñón milagroso. No habra tiempo para un plan. Leo y su esposa Franny, tendran que dejarlo todo. Actualmente, los dos tienen trabajos de tiempo completo, pero Franny tendra que tomar permiso de ausencia para cuidar de Leo. Su recuperación está estimada a Tres meses. Leo y Franny viven en un apartamento en el segundo piso y durante el tiempo de recuperacion de Leo ellos tendran que mudarse a un hogar sin escaleras. Posiblemente con familia oh amigos. Ellos tambien necesitaran viajar 3 veces a la semana a UCLA el primer mes. 2 veces a la semana el segundo mes y una vez a la semana el tercer mes asta que sea dado de alta. Les pido a todos por cualquier contribución que puedan donar para ayudarlos a superar este momento difícil. Los fondos irán a las facturas médicas esperadas e inesperadas, costo de recetas médicas, gasto de viajes a UCLA, pérdida de salarios no cubiertos, alojamiento inesperado y gastos imprevistos.
