<div>Stepping Stones Pediatric Therapy is reaching out to share a challenging situation that has affected one of our own. Recently, Kristen, has had an unexpected medical emergency that requires immediate medical treatment.

<div>Kristen has developed an occlusion of her left carotid artery due to fibromuscular dysplasia (twisting of the arteries).  She has required hospitalization and extensive testing. Kristen will be followed by Neurosurgery and Neurology and it is uncertain what the course of treatment will be.

<div>Medical tests and treatments add up very quickly, and the unexpectedness of the situation has created a bit of strain on Kristen and her family. We estimate that Kristen and her family will need at least $50,000 to help cover the costs of her medical care.
