She:kon community!!!
My name is Nishina Loft and I’m raising money for my friend and mentor, Korina Emmerich.
Our dearest, Korina and Suzanne, were evicted from their home on February 7th. They have been making it through this difficult time with our friends and their homes. Korina is a fearless leader in our community and has dedicated her time to creating Relative Arts. Through this process, she hasn’t been able to make a livable wage and lost her living space. As she has supported her community, it’s time for us to support her.
Korina has been approved for a sublet apartment for March but she needs these funds to help with her one month rent. She has been overwhelmed with storage costs and court dates. She needs a stable living place to get her affairs in order.
March Rent Total is $1300
The additional $50 is to accommodate for processing fees.
If you don’t know Korina, here’s a lil bit about her
Artist and designer Korina Emmerich (Puyallup) founded EMME Studio in 2015 and co-founded Relative Arts, NYC in 2023. Her colorful work celebrates her paternal Indigenous heritage from The Puyallup tribe while aligning art and design with education. With a strong focus on social and climate justice, Emmerich's artwork strives to expose and dismantle systems of oppression in the fashion industry and challenge colonial ways of thinking.
