<div>Help Kevin &amp; Cheryl During Kevin’s Bone Marrow Transplant Journey

<div>Dear friends and family,

<div>As many of you know, Kevin was diagnosed with <strong>Multiple Myeloma (MM)</strong>, a rare blood cancer, in March 2024. Since his diagnosis, Kevin has undergone weekly chemotherapy treatments, bringing his MM levels down from 80% to less than 1%—an incredible milestone! His oncologist and medical team are thrilled with his progress.

<div>The next crucial step in Kevin's journey is a <strong>bone marrow transplant (BMT)</strong> at Stanford Medical Center. This procedure, also called a stem cell transplant, will replace damaged or unhealthy bone marrow with healthy blood-forming stem cells. While there is no cure for Multiple Myeloma, this autologous transplant (using Kevin’s own stem cells) offers him the chance at a better quality of life.

<div>Cheryl will be Kevin's required 24/7 caregiver during this intensive process. Kevin’s schedule includes pre-transplant appointments on <strong>Jan. 9-10 and Jan. 14–17</strong>, with the procedure and recovery period spanning <strong>Jan. 24–Feb. 28</strong>. During this time, Kevin and Cheryl need to stay near the <strong>Safe Zone</strong> close to Stanford Medical Center.

<div>We’re asking for your support to help cover the costs of:

<li><strong>Lodging, food, and transportation</strong> near the Safe Zone.
</li>
<li><strong>Transportation for their daughter and granddaughter</strong> (3x a week to/from school and drumline practice).

<li><strong>Meals for the girls</strong> while Kevin and Cheryl are away.
