Kelly is on an expensive medical journey to diagnose and treat the chronic pain she's had for a long time. A month or so ago, she ended up in the ER with symptoms of a heart attack. Thankfully after an EKG & CT scan her heart and lungs were cleared but the pain is still debilitating. The ER doctor referred her to a spine doctor as it was suspected to be a nerve issue. She saw the spine doctor and she too believes its a nerve issue, as well. She recently underwent an MRI which showed several bulging discs, pinched nerves as well as advanced arthritis. The spine doctor "thinks" this could be the reason for her pain. Kelly has tried numerous medications with no relief. Needless to say, the medical bills are adding up with no end in sight for not only finding relief for her pain but the expense of medications and further testing. Kelly currently does not have medical insurance due to leaving her job 18 months or so ago. This was due to dealing with her own health issues and also being responsible for taking care of her Mom, Lois, who had cancer and advanced dementia. Lois lived in Illinois when she became unable to care for herself so Kelly moved her here and took care of her until Lois' passing in late 2023. As I am sitting here writing this up today-December 4, 2024 it is worth noting that today is the anniversary of Kelly's husband, Mike's passing 13 years ago today this very day. Kelly has battled and beaten breast cancer which she was diagnosed with 6 years ago. So needless to say, Kelly-sadly-is no stranger to tough times and heartbreak.

I first met Kelly about 15 years ago when our kids were dating. When they were no longer together Kelly and I joked that we were never going to break up! And here we are are 15 years later as best friends, confidants, and I don't know what I would do without her! If you can find it in your heart in even some small way to help her out all of us who know and love her would be ever so grateful! And if you know Kelly like I do-you know that she has helped out so many in SOOO many ways-just by being her! It is now our turn to do the same way for her!!! Please help in any way you can!
