Hey everyone! We need your help for two abandoned pups who have been through so much and deserve a second chance at a happy life.

Meet **Kimba** and **Hopscotch**—two resilient, sweet dogs who were abandoned by their rescue, Giselle's Legacy, and have been through more than any animal should ever have to endure.

Their Story:

Kimba's story is one of more downs than ups. He was saved from the East Valley shelter by Paws for Life, only to be returned to the West Valley shelter. He was saved from that shelter by Giselle's Legacy, only to be abandoned with his caregiver for nearly a year when that rescue's founder walked away from her rescue.

Kimba:

Hopscotch is approximately 2 1/2 years old and was rescued from the Long Beach shelter. Unfortunately, the same rescue that took in Kimba also abandoned Hopscotch with the same caregiver, leaving these loving dogs with no place to go.

Hopscotch:

With no safe place to go, Kimba and Hopscotch were hours away from being brought back to the shelter—we all know what that would've meant for them.

But against all odds, they escaped that fate and are now safely being boarded by a generous trainer who took them in before we had the funds, and they're being overseen by our small team of volunteers who are dedicated to finding them a new life.

**However**, they can’t stay where they are for long. Boarding costs quickly add up, and we're in urgent need of support to continue caring for them while we search for a foster or permanent home.

Why We Need Your Help:

While we're working tirelessly to find loving fosters or adoptive families for Kimba and Hopscotch, we need your help to keep them safe and comfortable in the meantime. Right now, they're staying at a boarding facility where they receive daily care, love, and attention, but we had no time to fundraise to cover their boarding costs.

The costs we need to cover include:

-Boarding fees for both dogs: currently a rescue rate of $40/day/dog

-Food and supplies: to ensure they have everything they need while waiting for a home.

We are asking for $2,400 to cover (1) month of their boarding, food, and supplies. Any extra funds raised will go directly toward any additional boarding costs beyond the one month timeframe to help ensure they get the love and attention they deserve while we work on finding them a permanent home.

About Kimba and Hopscotch:

-Kimba: (fka Leo) Kimba is a sweet, gentle soul with the heart of a lion. He’s a little shy at first but warms up quickly and has the most affectionate nature. Kimba would thrive in a calm home where he can be someone’s best friend.

-Hopscotch: Hopscotch is playful, energetic, and full of life! He’s always up for a game of fetch, and his wagging tail can brighten anyone’s day. Hopscotch is looking for a family who can keep up with his playful energy and give him the attention he craves.

Both dogs are incredibly sweet and deserve to know what it feels like to be safe, loved, and part of a family. They have been through so much, but they are both still hopeful and trusting of people. They are ready to leave their past behind and start a new chapter—one that’s full of love, joy, and security.
