My name is Charity, and currently I'm a student at Central State University pursuing a degree in Journalism with a minor in Physical Therapy. Going to school to obtain my degree means the world to me and has been a long-time dream.
The stress began to weigh on me when I found out my school is on fiscal watch and has to have a balance of 0 dollars, or I can't come back. I have taken loans and received grants but still have a balance. Fall semester 2024 has a balance, and it needs to be met before I can attend the spring 2025 semester.
I've been through a lot, and it's been a struggle mentally and emotionally. Over the past three months, I've experienced 3 deaths in my family, especially the most recent one, my Auntie. Because of school, I couldn't attend the funeral because I would fail my class, and it hurt me badly. Recently, I've been in and out of the ER during Thanksgiving break due to severe stomach pains from stress and grief. Through it all, I hope and pray I can finish college.
The balance has to be paid by Dec 6, 2024, before I can register for classes in spring and to secure my dorm room. If not, I have to pack all my room up and come home. I was advised I can make a payment before the start of class in January, and I can attend if any classes are available, but I'm not sure if my dorm room will be available.
Thanks to all who are willing and thanks to all who can help. This college appreciates the support of any kind.
