<div>Every mother/ father's worst fear is having their child be diagnosed with cancer- but can you imagine finding out you also have cancer in the same week? Katie had been at Yale with her 6 year old son while he went through his own cancer diagnosis and subsequent surgery to remove the tumor when her own ongoing medical issues reared their ugly head. Katie was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer, and underwent an emergency hysterectomy and due to the cancer spreading to her bowel and abdomen she now lives with an (hopefully temporary) ostomy bag. She is preparing for several months of intensive chemotherapy to ensure that all traces of the cancer are gone. Her children—ages 11, 8, 6, 2, and just 8 months old—are her entire world. But right now, her focus has to be on fighting this disease with everything she has.

<div>Between hospital stays, surgeries, medications, and the ongoing cost of essential medical supplies, travel, the financial strain will only be increasing.

<div>This mother has always given her all to her children, and now she needs our help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the burden of medical expenses and daily living costs as she focuses on healing and being there for her children.
