Hi, my name is Julie Northrop and I need your help. My son and I are moving, and while he can afford this move for himself, I cannot. Within the last year, I've developed some health issues which make it more convenient to move near my family. I've saved $600, but there are other expenses that this just won't cover: the moving van, my security deposit, and a storage unit for items that I cannot fit into my apartment.
A little background: In December of 2023, I developed a heart issue. I had to have a procedure done where they stopped my heart to get it into a normal rhythm, which didn't work because a month later I had to have an ablation done, and that seemed to help. I got diagnosed with A-Flutter, which could turn to A-Fib. My heart issues also exacerbated my breathing, and I have been diagnosed with Restrictive Lung Disorder, which now requires me to be on oxygen 24/7. I also have gained so much weight, it's made it hard to do normal activities a 54-year-old woman should be able to do without struggle.
Due to this, it makes more sense to move closer to my family; however, I am struggling to afford this because I also have medical bills to pay off as well. Yes, this does sound like a sob story, but I am staying positive about my future.
If you could help me, it would mean the world to me. Anything you can afford is fine, and if you can't afford to help, please help by sharing this. I truly, truly appreciate all of you for listening and reading through this rambling mess.
