Jake was hit by a car on Sunday afternoon and sustained multiple injuries, including some minor lacerations to his legs/face, contusions to his lungs, and a fractured hip. As you may imagine, he is in excruciating pain and will be on a pain management regimen and will have to be cage rested for the next 2 weeks, according to the veterinarian. I believe he has an angel protecting as I feel the injuries could have been more extensive and I am grateful.

Update as of March 5: Jake was discharged from the Urgent Care Hospital on Monday afternoon. He is currently on a pain management regimen and antibiotics. Although his appetite is limited, I am providing him with hand-fed meals, and he is consuming small amounts at a time. As of now, he is not walking independently, but we are observing steady progress. I am sincerely grateful for the support we have received both online and in person. I am forever indebted to you all.
