Our good friends, Louanne and Joe were hit with shocking news when their beloved dog, Jake, suddenly had a hard time breathing. They raced him to the veterinary emergency room and learned he had spontaneous pneumothorax. This is a condition which particularly affects arctic breeds, leaking air into the chest cavity and collapsing the lungs. The choice was either death or surgery.
Jake was rushed into surgery and is now recovering at home. While most of us have a hard time putting a price on the value of a life the ER vet had no problem. The cost was over $18,000. We need your help.
