My wife and I have tragically lost our baby girl, Rainbow, unexpectedly. She was only 4 going on 5 when she recently passed. I'm in the middle of filling a case with the VMB against the Signal Hill Pet Hospital. Their negligence and malpractice was the cause of Rainbow’s death. We brought Rainbow to Signal Hill Hospital just for a check up for her dry skin and dandruff. She was completely fine. The technician that administered the shots to Rainbow jolted back and there was quite a bit of blood. She said she accidentally poked herself with the needle and wrapped her finger up with paper towel and moved on with the other shots. Later when we reported to the assistant up front she confronted the tech and said it was actually Rainbow’s blood. We believe that the technician hit an artery which lead up to rainbows heart going out of rhythm and pumping fluid around her heart which worked into the lungs and she choked on her on blood and died right in front of us when she was in the ER at Access Hospital, a different location and which they were great there. They tried so hard to save her life at Access and we owe a great deal of appreciation to them.
Christine and I have had to pay $7,501.79 in vet bills to have a dead dog. She was everything to us and we’re shattered. Our hearts are broken into a million pieces. Even our little Benny is grieving for his sister, they spent every moment together and he keeps looking for her and it breaks our hearts. This little family of mine is so full of love, and even in this tragic passing, we still want to open our hearts to other sweet beings that need to be loved and cared for. We are truly feeling like this is the only way to move forward and find companionship for Benny but we will be unable to do that until we are able to pay Rainbows medical bills.
