<div>Our beautiful little Ivy who is just 7 months old, has recently been diagnosed with Atlanto axial instability (AAI). This is a condition of excessive movement between the first two neck vertebrae, causing incoordination, weakness and sometimes paralysis. The best and most effective way to treat this, is with surgery.

<div>The aim of this surgery is to stabilise the joint and decompress the spinal cord. The progression was slow, and Ivy started showing symptoms around July when we noticed she was wobbly on her feet and often fell down; she is now unable to stand on her own. After a few appointments and some scans, she was then diagnosed with AAI.

<div>Unfortunately, our insurance is maxed out from the scans and diagnosis appointment’s, so will not cover the cost of surgery to help our little Ivy and so we need to self-fund this. The cost of the surgery is between £5,000-£6,000, a significant amount we cannot afford upfront. There will also be care, medication and physiotherapy after the surgery, so money will be needed to fund this as well.

<div>As a result, we have started a go fund me for anybody who is happy and able to donate anything they can to help us ensure she gets the treatment and care she so desperately needs.
