<div>Valerie is 50 years old. She is a strong and caring individual that has always been there for others. In the spring of 2025, She experienced a seizure that landed her in the ER. Exactly a month later, she had another seizure, this one more severe, resulting in a 10-day hospital stay. During her time at the hospital, she underwent a series of tests such as MRI’s, CT scans, and Lumbar Punctures. Though the doctors were able determine her left frontal lobe was inflamed, they could not pinpoint the exact cause. After consulting with several neurologists, Valerie received a diagnosis that was both unexpected and frightening. The most probable cause of her seizures is a glioma tumor on her left frontal lobe. As a result, Valerie is now scheduled for a craniotomy on October 20th, 2025, in hopes of removing most if not all of the tumor. Following the surgery, she will undergo chemotherapy and radiation treatments in order to ensure the best possible outcome.

<div>Despite this, Valerie has continued to work full time and has even picked up extra hours in order to help cover her rent, medical bills, and all other expenses. She also helps care for her son, who lives with her, while navigating a difficult divorce. If you know Valerie, you know she is always in high spirits, but unfortunately, this sudden crisis has put a strain on her both mentally and financially.
