Hi, my name is Casandra and my business partner Reggie and I are working hard to get our first restaurant open. This restaurant is a dream close to being lived. We started this journey both employed full time so we were self-funding, along with receiving a few loans from friends to get the restaurant open however the startup cost of opening a business, a lot of unexpected costs, a decrease in work, and just other unintended life happenings we have exhausted our funds. We now have the green light to open passing all inspections so now we just need to open up. We still need to purchase a commercial bar cooler, more cookware, and more dishes, startup payroll, and get a grease trap installed as soon as we open. We have completely renovated the space from top to bottom so it’s been frustrating being so close to the end but having delays to open. It's such an exciting process yet scary when you get to this point of starting a business. We have applied for business loans, lines of credit, and sought short-term investors, you name it we've tried it but startup funds are not easily accessible.
