Firstly thank you for taking time to read about us, what we do and how you can help.
I must start by thanking everyone who has donated in the past. As you are our only source of funding, we literally wouldnt be here without you.
As the cost of living crisis continues we are finding it more and more expensive to continue with our charity and for this reason I am appealing for your help. It feels wrong on so many levels as I appreciate we are all a little tighter these days, but if you do have some to spare for the animals it would be very much appreciated. Your donation goes towards covering food, bedding, medication, treatment, call outs and rescues. No-one takes money for wages, so every penny will benefit local wildlife directly.
See below for a reminder of what we do.
Geoff Grewcock founded the Nuneaton & Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary in 2001 and has spent every day since caring for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife. The sanctuary, which has taken over the back garden of his home (and house) is the only one of its kind in the area, offering a 24/7 service for wildlife. We have a dedicated team of volunteers, but Geoff (who is 73years old) picks up the lions share as living on site means he never has 'down time', having only had 3 weeks off in the last 27 years. He doesnt complain as this is his passion and his life. He has literally dedicated everything to the birds and animals in his care.
My name is Emma and I am Geoffs daughter. I have the pleasure of volunteering alongside him every day. To say I am proud of what he has acheived is an understatement. Only a few years ago the sanctuary recieved a fantastic accolade, being made Parliamentary Best Practice Representatives 2020. We love what we do and we can only do this with your support. You have always come to our aid when we have needed you, and for that we are eternally greatful. We have this fundraiser in place for those of you who wish to help us help more wildlife. Wether that be by attending more rescues, caring for more animals or by maintaining the sanctuary so that is always at its very best to deal with each species recovery needs. We are only small, but our workload is great and we can only do this with your support.
Please share our mission and as always, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
