We are raising £2000 for the girls of Paorinher by providing them with 200 sanitary pad packs made by our women at ARISE.
Each pack contains 7 sustainably made, plastic free, sanitary pads which will allow a girl or woman too menstruate safely for up to 5 years. Normally the girls of Paorinher have little to no access to safe sanitary products. Resulting in them not being able to go to school or being targeted by sexual predators.
This can lead to a high rate of infection due to the alternatives the girls turn to, as well as an increased rate child pregnancy, HIV and STI infection. Which can worsen the gender gap in the community as girls can be kept out of school and miss opportunities as a result.

We are a grass-roots volunteer-based charity dedicated to ending extreme poverty and dependence on handouts. Our sustainable development projects, backed by solar power, are aimed at increasing household income, improving health and literacy, kickstarting small business, and creating local jobs and skills. We give priority to projects involving women and children who are the breadwinner for their household, and enabling economic viability for youth, the disabled and the elderly.
