<div>Thank you for all of the love, prayers, emotional support, gifts, food, and
</div>
<div>friendship over the last month.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our whole world was turned upside down on May 18th and since then Peter has been in a fight for his life.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Peter had COVID, thought he recovered, but we found out he had double
</div>
<div>COVID pneumonia w/the COVID glass lung situation. (I beg of your decency &amp; humanity to not make this political).
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Peter has an extremely high pain tolerance (if you ever trained or raced with
</div>
<div>him you understand! He just thought he had lingering congestion and got
</div>
<div>back at it when the majority of us probably would have been laid up in bed.
</div>
<div>He returned to work and after a long workout in the evening went into
</div>
<div>cardiac arrest... and now we are here.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>He's fighting hard and has been since day one. He's stable but we still have
</div>
<div>mountains to climb.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It feels strange asking for help because we thought we were prepared for
</div>
<div>these various life situations but I'm quickly learning that sometimes you can't predict how tragic situations will go. There's no real way to fully imagine all of
</div>
<div>the moving pieces that are involved.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm humbled, heartbroken and appreciate so many people reaching out
</div>
<div>offering to help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are all trying our best to give Peter everything he needs for this fight, and also ensure that Ruby has everything she needs to keep shining her bright
</div>
<div>light in the world.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm not sure what else to say, except, thank you, I love you, and I promise to
</div>
<div>pay the love and support forward whenever &amp; wherever I can.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>XOXO,</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Peter, Ruby, Allie and our whole family</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>P.S. I hope when you think of Peter, you hear his infectious laugh, see his
</div>
<div>classic gapped tooth smile (my favorite), and know with 100% certainty, if you were friends once upon a time, he still and always will consider you his friend.
