Donate to help Stephen get an electric wheelchair.

Hello, my name is Vicki, Stephen's wife of 32 years and I am raising funds to purchase an electric wheelchair for him so he can become more independent. Stephen's left leg was amputated below the knee one month ago. He has a manual wheelchair with stump support but struggles to move this around even on our tiled floors.

I would like him to achieve the greater independence that an electric wheelchair would provide, enabling him to go outside into his garden areas. Currently, he can only get outside with my help in pushing the chair.

He would also love to be able to get around by himself in shopping centres, walking paths etc. without someone having to push him.

The funds raised will go firstly to purchase an electric chair that would be suitable for him with a solid back as well as a stump support. If more is raised then I would purchase a car hoist for the back of our car so that I can automatically raise and lower the chair into our car as the average weight of these chairs is 28kg.
