Hi, my name is Caroline, I am a qualified Social Worker and the Founder of a grassroots campaign, called, The W.H.Y Campaign Team (W.H.Y stands for We Hear You), an initiative to raise awareness of domestic abuse. I am fundraising for our next domestic abuse primary prevention social impact project, to raise more public awareness and encourage more social engagement about the impact of domestic abuse and intimate partner violence, on the lives of innocent citizens and community members in homes right across Australian communities, on a street near where you live!
Did you know, that one woman a week in Australia dies directly because of domestic family, or intimate partner violence? I have worked directly with thousands of cases during my professional career, from intake risk assessments to long-term case management domestic abuse cases. I have vivid memories of countless real-life family stories of the devasting impact of devastating human destruction, it leaves behind for so many, like the debris after a hurricane.

Our social impact mission is to raise awareness, inspire action, and save lives by providing crucial funding, $20,000 for each of our curated individual social impact projects focused on combating domestic abuse. 1. Empower Change: Provide funding to continue our 100 per cent volunteer-led efforts through events, online events, community initiatives, and curated informative resources on support zero tolerance on domestic abuse, and intimate partner violence in our relationships, homes and society.
2. Raise Public Awareness: Launch impactful social impact campaigns to shed light on the issue, challenge societal norms, attitudes, and values and encourage a culture of compassion, empathy, respect, care, dignity and equality.

'Project 20' - This funding will be used to help fund our first product development series of physical primary prevention tool kit resources. Aims to educate, raise awareness, and facilitate important conversations in the areas of domestic abuse, respectful relationship dynamics, coercive control, and intimate partner violence. Your donation with be used for the following project costs associated with this first social impact project:
- graphic art illustrator
- video and editing costs
- printing costs
- publishing costs
- marketing and adverting costs
- postage costs
- events costs
- website costs
Every donor will receive an update on our website/ go fund page on the progress, timeline and evidence of our completed tasks for each project 20 funded.
My challenge is to keep the costs per social impact project under 20K, not an easy task! But I have been self-funding all social impact projects for almost three years now and I am unable to continue after August 2023, this is why I have created this crowdfunding gofundme page. This means so much, to so many people, many are victim-survivors who contact me every week for the last 156 weeks since I began born out of the serve Covid-19 Lockdowns in Victoria, Australia in 2020. I had to learn how to be resourceful and try to bring life to projects that mattered so much to me and many others.
