Donate to help Sandra and Kirsten

I am fundraising to help Sandra Burkett maintain safe and secure housing and meet expenses after the unexpected death of her husband, Lloyd Burkett. Sandra has devoted the past 30 years to caring for her daughter Kirsten Burkett, who has cerebral palsy and autism, and whom she adopted when Kirsten was 2. Surrounded by a caring community, many family and friends asked if they could do anything during this period of grief and anguish, so I decided to launch this GoFundMe drive.

The funds raised will pay for unforeseen expenses due to Lloyd's passing, necessary repairs and winterization of their home that Lloyd could not complete before he passed away, and eventual moving expenses to an area with more resources and help for Kirsten and Sandra. One of the goals is to help Sandra explore additional care options for Kirsten and to secure respite care services when possible.
