Hi, my name is Sam, and along with my sisters' Sarah &amp; Steph, we are raising funds for our incredible parents, Paul and Sandra Gierke. 
 
Our dad, Paul, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma. After today’s oncologist appointment (8th September 2025), we received devastating news — the cancer has now spread to his lungs, liver, pelvis, hips, adrenal gland, arms, ribs, and shoulder blade. It’s not the outcome we were hoping for, and there are sadly no further treatment options to stop the spread. 
 
In the coming weeks, Dad will begin radiation therapy to help manage the cancer in his bones, reduce pain, and prevent fractures. 
 
Dad has always been a hardworking, proud man who has dedicated his life to providing for our family. But now, due to pain and exhaustion, he has had to cut back to just a couple of short shifts each week. This, combined with ongoing medical costs, has put a significant financial strain on our parents. 
 
Anyone who knows Mum &amp; Dad knows they are the first to help others and never ask for anything in return. Now, it’s our turn to support them. 
 
Our goal is to: 
 
Help cover the costs of Dad's radiation treatment and related medical expenses 
 
Give Dad the chance to fulfill his dream of visiting Norfolk Isand with Mum — something he has always wanted to do
