<div>To those who don’t know me personally, I’m Sarah (aka Mother of Felines) and my daughter/companion is Muffin.

<div>Muffin is my lifeline, and my best friend. Recently (amongst some other chronic health issues we have been navigating) I noticed something wasn’t right in her tiny mouth, and started her on an OTC dental health regimen until her vet appointment. 



</div>

<div>Upon taking her in on 12/5/22, we discovered that she has Gingivitis, and beginning stages of Periodontitis. 



</div>

</div>



<div>I saw with my own eyes, how inflamed and bloody her gum lines were and issues with the surrounding molars when the vet conducted their oral exam.

<div>I was advised that she would need a teeth cleaning and possible extractions as soon as possible, and told I could push it out to maximum 6 months from now before further complications arise.



</div>

<div>***Here is where things get tricky and why I am asking (despite my pride) for helping hands:***

<div>After about 20 years in the workforce, I had to take a necessary step back, to mitigate my own chronic health issues. I have struggled to find long term steady employment, and am currently unemployed at this time. I have utilized the last of my savings and have depleted the entirety of my retirement funds to cover expenses up until this point.

</div>

<div>Muffin also has Inflammatory Bowel Disease (a permanent life long condition) that she is on chronic medication for. In addition, she has a heart murmur.



</div>

</div>



<div>Because of this, before I can have her put under general anesthesia for the dental procedure, the vet needs to have bloodwork and other testing, as well as ECG to make sure her heart is OK to proceed. This adds additional costs.



</div>

<div>I am continuously looking for part time remote work, while waiting on state medical assistance for myself that I will get a decision on by early next year.


</div>

<div>She is such a warrior. After everything she went through today she has such a resilient spirit and loving demeanor-never even hissed once the entire time, despite all the shots, poking, prodding and shuffling around.
