Donate to help me go to Honduras in 2024

Hi, my name is Daniel, and I am a year 11 student. I am grateful to have been offered a place on a research expedition to Honduras with Operation Wallacea in July 2024.
In order to seize this opportunity, my first challenge is to raise £4249. To fund my trip, I’ve set myself the goal of doing a sponsored cycle of the total coastline length of Honduras (820km) before the expedition next year.

Operation Wallacea (www.opwall.com) is renowned for its commitment to scientific research and conservation efforts in biodiversity-rich areas across the globe. The expedition will provide the opportunity for me to gain hands-on experience in the field of conservation biology while contributing to vital research projects. The opportunity would provide me with invaluable insights into fieldwork techniques, data collection, and the incredibly complex challenges our ecosystems face.
My motivation to participate in the Operation Wallacea expedition is rooted in my desire to deepen my understanding of conservation biology, contribute to meaningful research and develop practical skills that will empower me to address ecological challenges. The prospect of working alongside experienced researchers and conservationists is thrilling for me and I believe this first-hand experience will provide a unique perspective that cannot be gained solely from textbooks.

I am incredibly grateful for any donations (or fundraising suggestions!) towards this once in a lifetime opportunity.
I will share any updates about my progress with the expedition. Your donation will not only help me in my personal development, but will also benefit the wider world, educating more people to help us cherish and protect our planet.
