Hey guys, I’ve unexpectedly been diagnosed with an abscess while travelling Southeast Asia and will either have to have emergency surgery here tomorrow ( Friday 28th) or fly home to have it done in the UK ASAP. Unfortunately my travel insurance won’t cover this because I’ve had antibiotics for a similar issue within the last 180days. The bill is estimated at around 35million dong - which is just over £1000. The price to travel home is slightly cheaper but, after speaking with the doctors here and in UK, the safest option is for treatment abroad, then I’m not risking Septicaemia while trying to get home.
