Hello my name is Marc McDonald. I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my brother-in-law Darell Preston, owner of LoRell’s Chicken Shack in Portland OR. On Thursday June, 15th Darell was attacked outside of his food cart at 5205 SE Foster Road. The incident is now an open investigation with Portland Police Department and is being described as an unprovoked random and racially motivated attack and potential hate crime. With this GoFundMe we hope that loved ones, family, friends, and customers will help support LoRell’s as Darell begins his recovery process. All donations will be directly deposited into LoRell’s business account and used to cover Darell’s medical costs, legal representation, and other business costs associated with him being unable to work his food cart.
