Donate to Help La Morenita Restaurant

Serving the Westside for over five years, La Morenita Restaurant has been a staple in the community bringing authentic Dominican food to the table for both homesick locals and newcomers alike. La Morenita is owned and operated by Dominican-born Bernarda Bautista, a now-local businesswoman and eminent community member well known for her inviting and flavorful food. Bernarda sought to relocate to serve her loyal customers better, but misfortune struck just as the restaurant was set to reopen. A neighboring store caught fire, and the resulting fire engulfed the majority building. Bernarda had invested everything she had, including her life savings, to bring her dream of La Morenita Restaurant to life again. This dream, however, has been cut short. We are asking for help to rebuild La Morenita Restaurant so we may once again bring our food and culture to the community. Any funds provided will be used to replace the equipment lost, which was bought from Bernarda’s own pocket. We know God is with us and we thank you for any help you may be able to provide.
