I'm Doug, a guy who has dedicated the rest of my life to helping others after a terminal prostate cancer diagnosis. So far, I've volunteered for 35 wonderful nonprofits including Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, YMCA, Humane Society, Ronald McDonald House, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and food pantries across 32 states. I was on the road for close to five months, drove over 13,000 miles, and flew more than 10,000 more.

My health has deteriorated to a point where I feel I may only have months left, so I really want to do something for just me. I've ALWAYS dreamed of visiting Australia but I don't currently have the funds to do so. I received a tremendous amount of support for my Dying to Serve volunteer tour and am so grateful for that. Much of it I paid forward to help others with my Dying to Give random acts of giving mission.

UPDATE: In less than a week, I have fallen in LOVE with Australia! That’s why I’m making the decision to return home and sell my last remaining worldly possession (my car) so I can return here for a 2-3 month tour while I still have the strength to enjoy visiting dozens of locations from coast to coast! I also want to visit New Zealand and Fiji ( on the way).

Your donation will be used to pay for flights, housing, transportation, sightseeing and anything else I need for the 2-3 month trip. I intend to die at home so I will also reserve the funds for a return flight when the time comes. It’s ok if that happens before my tourist visa expires? I will die happy knowing I had one last GRAND adventure!
