Hello, my name is Christina and I am starting this fundraiser to hopefully secure a substantial down payment goal of $6000.00 to help my daughter Crystle purchase a safe, reliable, long lasting certified used vehicle after an unfortunate auto accident.

My daughter was recently involved in an accident, no fault of her own. She was going to work like any other day, traveling in a turning lane when unexpectedly a Mack Dump Truck traveling the same direction came across two lanes to attempt to make the turning lane and slammed into the passenger side of her vehicle pushing her toward oncoming traffic. Thankfully she was able to control the vehicle, her son was not with her that morning, the oncoming traffic avoided collision and she came out of it unscathed undeniably shaken with only her vehicle taking the damage, an outcome that we all are completely grateful for due to the multitude of scenario’s that could have happened that day.

Her vehicle has been deemed unsafe and totaled and the truck driver’s insurance along with the gap insurance will satisfy the loan which is a plus. However, she is on her own to replace the lost vehicle with little to no means to purchase or finance one. Her place of employment has been tremendously supportive in allowing her to work from home until she can secure transportation. She relies on her vehicle daily for transportation to and from work and covering her 10-year-old son’s needs.

They are a small young family of three; mom, dad, and son. Like a lot of family’s today, they live pay-to-pay struggling to make ends meet. Previous student loans add complication and there is little to no savings as a backup for emergencies.

Her son, my grandson, is diagnosed with autism and has special needs when it comes to vehicles. He is high functioning and has a keen sense for mechanical issues, sounds and smells in which he attributes to danger. These heightened senses prevent him from occupying just any vehicle meaning he senses, hears and smells things that we may not which makes him a wonderfully unique individual but unfortunately causes him to become tremendously and genuinely terrified which then causes him to panic, break down and want to flee.

With our support, I believe that we can reach the goal of $6000.00 which will be used for a substantial down payment to purchase a certified used vehicle that is safe, reliable and son accepted.
