Give the Land Back Campaign
Imagine a place where ancient cedar, oak, and birch trees stand watch over resilient gardens and net-zero homes. Where rainwater nourishes organic food and medicinal plants. Where Elders live in eco-sustainable, non-toxic housing, rooted in ceremony, care, and community. This is the vision of Wisdom Tree Village—and it begins with giving the land back.
The Grandmothers’ Village Project (GVP) is leading a land-based movement to reclaim 145 acres in Randolph, Massachusetts for an intentional village grounded in Indigenous Technologies, Values, and Customs. Our campaign centers Elders of Color, who deserve more than survival—they deserve sanctuary.
What We’re Building:
Eco-sustainable, net-zero housing for Elders
A regenerative retreat center for healing, workshops, and eco-education
A 20-acre regenrative organic farm for ancestral foods, medicine, and food sovereignty
A space for ceremony, climate resilience, and cultural reconnection
This will be the first of its kind in Massachusetts—and possibly the country.
Why Now?
In a time of ecological and spiritual crisis, our frontline communities urgently need places to root, restore, and rise. Wisdom Tree Village will provide that refuge. Led by Elders, healers, and organizers, GVP is part of a broader movement toward a Just Transition from an extractive economy to a regenerative one.
The space will center the voices and traditions of Indigenous, Black, Latine/x, Asian American & Pacific Islander, Middle Eastern and North African, Queer, disabled, migrant, and low-income communities—those most impacted by climate change and displacement.
Our Goal
We are raising $2 million from individuals by October 16, 2027 to place the land into a trust.
We are also calling on foundations and corporations to contribute $20 million long-term to fund housing, farming infrastructure, wellness facilities, and community care systems.
