Mental Health Disorder. Three words that encompass many different types of illness and sadly, create a lot of stigma towards the people that deal with them. At Peer Support Alliance, we hope to end that stigma of talking about mental health. Oftentimes, people with these disorders are told, "Everything will be fine," or "Just don't be sad." Diabetics don't get told to "Just don't worry about it," and people with mental health disorders shouldn't either.

Peer Support Alliance is a peer-to-peer support system for adults 18+ that hosts weekly meetings via Zoom (we will eventually be doing in-person meetings) for people with these disorders in order to tell their stories, talk about their coping mechanisms, or just listen. Coming off the back of what was once Mental Health Sponsors of America, the PSA will also be focusing on sponsorships from others dealing with similar issues. Like tried and true methods before it, PSA offers a sponsorship program between its members that applies the very first true 24/7 mental illness support between peers.
