Donate to Ease Opie and Pam's Medical Costs

Hello, Friends!

We’re fundraising for Robert (Opie) and Pamela O’Sullivan. They are lifelong residents of Greensburg, Indiana.

Opie is a 73 year old Air Force Veteran and retired from over 30 years at Delta Faucet, and has Parkinson’s and Dementia and was diagnosed with Stage 3 Prostate Cancer earlier this year. He has just finished 6 weeks of daily radiation treatments, and just started a hormone suppression therapy as well.

Pam was 61 and used to work as a medical assistant for MMSC but was disabled due to Epilepsy and Lupus, and had been diagnosed with a Stage 4 Non Small Cell Adenocarcinoma that had metastasized from the lungs to her lymph nodes, spinal cord, hip bones, and brain. She had just completed 2 weeks of brain radiation to slow and decrease the side effects of the brain lesions and was set to begin chemotherapy to attempt to give her a more comfortable and longer life with us.

The medical bills and other associated costs are obviously adding up, and we need to make some changes around the house to support Opie’s mobility, so we are humbly opening up this GoFundMe with the full knowledge and understanding that the cost of living is a challenge for everyone right now. If you do have the means to donate anything or even the time and platform to share the link to this fundraiser, we deeply appreciate your generosity and kindness.

Sending you all so much love and wishing you all a happy, safe, and warm holiday season with your loved ones. Hold onto them extra tightly. Hug them a little longer.

Update: Pamela was Lifelined via helicopter to Methodist on December 1 with Sepsis due to Pneumonia from the lung tumors, and died in the ICU as peacefully as possible with palliative pain control on December 3, 2025 at 4:22pm, fully surrounded by her closest loved ones.

If you or a loved one are seeking medical care and your doctors aren’t believing you, treatment isn’t working, and/or they aren’t managing your pain levels, please, please, seek second, third, even fourth opinions if you have the means and ability to do so. No one should ever have to suffer with the levels of pain she suffered with for so long. Pain is your body communicating something is wrong. Believe your loved ones. Believe your patients. Believe YOUR body. Pain is what the patient says it is, and should be treated as such. Always.

Much Love.
