 On August 26th, 2026, my sister, Haley, was attacked by 7 pitbulls in her front yard and suffered extensive injuries to her entire body. That morning, tenants were being evicted from a house just up the street from Haley's home. The tenants put the dogs in the back of a U-Haul box truck to remove them from the property. When passing Haley's home, the back door of the U-Haul opened. The dogs fell out and quickly surrounded Haley. The dogs were completely on top of her while she and her partner, Aaron, fought desperately to save her life. After several terrifying minutes, they were able to get to safety until an ambulance could arrive.

 Haley spent 10 days in the hospital where she underwent emergency surgeries and received over 5 feet of sutures and a wound vac to close the many lacerations across her body. She is now home recuperating, but this is just the beginning of a long and difficult recovery. Her body has changed, her daily life has changed, and the road ahead is filled with uncertainty. On top of her physical wounds, the emotional and mental trauma of being attacked on her own property will stay with her long after her body has healed.

 The owners of the dogs are on the run and have not been found. The financial burden of this horrible attack will fall on Haley and Aaron. Unfortunately, the medical expenses are already adding up and Haley will no doubt require ongoing care for the foreseeable future. We're starting this fundraiser in hopes to relieve some of the financial burden so that Haley can focus on what matters most; healing and working to regain the independence she had before this happened to her.  After everything that has happened, Haley has never once stopped fighting and she continues to face every day with determination and a positive attitude. She is one of the strongest, most caring and loving people I know. I am incredibly grateful that she's alive. We're hoping we can now surround her with the same love and support she has shown others throughout her life. Thank you all for helping Haley through the hardest chapter of her life!
