Hello, our names are Cayla and along with my brother Christian, we are raising money for George, my stepdad, who has helped raise me and his dad. He has been sick for well over a year. He was recently diagnosed with rectal cancer. Before they were able to start with treatment, they discovered spots on his liver. Due to his being so sick, he has not been able to work. He lost his vehicle due to being unable to make the payments. He also lost his job and does not have medical insurance. He has numerous medical bills and is unable to pay them. Many things require money upfront and he has none. Mom is doing the best she can to help. He has two MRIs scheduled next week, several scans, a surgical visit, and radiation mark up. He has medications that he has not been able to fill due to the costs without insurance. It is so hard to imagine how he can worry about the financial and transportation part, let alone the treatment, and we are prayerful that it can be treated successfully. We just want him to worry about the fight and not the stress of paying for services and the stress of not being able to get treatment due to money issues.
