Hey, my name is Dennis (DJ). Around May 9th, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and haven’t been able to work since. I was then diagnosed with end-stage nonischemic cardiomyopathy. That's when only one side of your heart works hard to pump blood through your whole body, and the right side of your heart doesn’t have enough elasticity to pump at all. It’s called heart failure with preserved cardiomyopathy. I have an LVEF of 9%, for which I had to get an emergency heart transplant. I’ve been in the hospital since July 25th and wanted to tell my story and see if I could get any assistance with my medical and recovery. All is welcome, and anything helps. God bless!
