Claudia has used up all her paid sick leave and has been intermittently taking unpaid time off to care for her husband while he's battling cancer.

<div>Claudia also lost her sister Charlotte on Juneteenth. A day that is supposed to be celebratory of the freedom for all African Americans. Claudia had to take additional unpaid time off work to make funeral arrangements and grieve.
