Help with Buster's Treatment Cost

Update: 3/24/25 Buster has succumbed to this terrible, aggressive cancer. Our hearts are completely shattered. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

My name is Buster. I am a 9-year-old mixed breed of Mastiff, Boxer, and Shepherd. I love my family and my playmates. I love to go camping, swimming, hanging out at home, and chasing rabbits. My human parents are Kathy & Doug.

Buster is the absolute best, loving, kind boy we've ever had. We are blessed beyond to have Buster in our lives and want to have him as long as possible. He always greets us with his favorite toy, wagging his entire butt just like a boxer! When he felt better and had his weight on; when he proudly posed, he looked like his Mastiff side.

Around November, Buster started losing weight, sleeping more, and not eating as much. We knew something was wrong. We kept taking him to his vet for answers. One thought was that he had meningitis. He would get antibiotics and start feeling better, then decline again, and then get on antibiotics again.

During an X-ray, it appeared he had an enlarged kidney, and an ultrasound was recommended. So, an appointment was made at the Emergency Animal Specialty clinic in Knoxville, TN, 100 miles away from home. The vet there recommended a complete abdominal ultrasound with his symptoms. Upon the completion of the ultrasound, the vet said his kidneys were fine, but he had a mass in his colon and recommended an exploratory laparotomy to remove the mass. We agreed and had his surgery on Monday, February 3, 2025. A large mass was found in his small intestine, and they took as much as they possibly could, hoping to get all the margins. As of today, we do not have the pathology report back.

During his recovery, he developed complications, which required 6 days in the ICU, which put us over our intended amount we could afford. We had accounted for a $4,000 bill and ended up with over a $10,000 bill with unknown future treatment needs.

We are asking for any amount of donations to go towards his vet bill.

Please find it in your heart to donate and pray for Buster. Absolutely any amount is so appreciated.

Update: 3/18/25 Buster is losing his battle with cancer. Super aggressive tumors are invading his entire abdomen. This is just surreal, I just can’t grasp this. Please pray for peace and no pain for Buster please
