<div>As Anna (Dorn) Kubica’s parents, Curt and I are starting a GoFundMe to help our daughter and her new husband navigate all of the changes their lives will hold since <strong>Anna’s recent diagnosis of a large brain tumor</strong>. Anna and Ian will be facing many medical bills.

<div>On Tuesday, January 28, Anna was taken to the ER after suffering for several weeks with headaches. We learned that night that Anna had a large tumor in her brain. Less than 48 hours later, Anna had a successful surgery which removed most of the tumor, but she has a long road ahead of her.
</div>

<div>Most recently, Anna started a new job and was set to graduate with her Masters in School Counseling in April 2025. Anna has been sick for several weeks and as a result, has used all of her PTO. Ian, too, started a new job and is not eligible for paid leave.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Anna and Ian would be most appreciative of any help they receive.</strong> While financial gifts are needed, prayers are requested, too. Thank you for your generosity.

<div>We can't thank you enough for the outpouring of support we have received for Anna and Ian. Anna was released from the hospital yesterday afternoon. Anna has a minimum of two weeks before she will be cleared to resume any level of normal activity.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our next big hurdle will be to meet with the doctors to learn the results of the pathology report. That's a big one, but it will help us know how we will be moving forward with her treatment.
</div>

<div>While the final pathology results are still not in, the doctors believe Anna has a high grade brain tumor. This means she will need both radiation and chemotherapy as part of her treatment. We think the treatment will start within the next two weeks.
</div>

<div>We are so thankful for Anna‘s medical team and know she is in good hands. It will be a long road, but Anna is in good spirits and ready to fight! Thank you again for your support.

<div>Woo hoo!!  Anna has officially completed the first round of radiation and chemotherapy!  
</div>

</div>
<div>Her energy and spirits remain high and other than hair loss she hasn’t had any physical side effects to the treatments. That is already a miracle!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Anna has decided to shave off the rest of her hair, we think it might help with the itching of her scalp. Other than that, it’s only weekly blood work for the next month. Amen!
</div>

<div>The next thing is Anna’s MRI scheduled for the morning of May 8th. This is a BIG deal. Results of the scan will determine if Anna’s tumor responded to the treatment and it will also outline next steps for follow up care. 
</div>
