Hi, my name is Almely, and I’m 20 years old and a full-time student. About a year ago, I was involved in a minor car accident where I accidentally rear-ended another driver. Thankfully, I wasn’t harmed, and the damage to both vehicles was none. However, the other driver claims to be “injured”, and now they’re suing me for $50,000, and since my mom is listed on the car’s title, they’re also suing her for the same amount.

I’ve been struggling with this situation for a long time. At first, I was too scared and embarrassed to tell anyone about it, but I’ve realized that it’s taking an extreme toll on me—physically, mentally, and emotionally. As a student, I don’t make enough money to cover the attorney fees needed to defend ourselves, and my mom and I are doing everything we can, but we just can’t manage it alone. I’m trying to cover legal fees for me and my mom since she had no part in it

It’s hard for me to ask for help, but I really need it. I’ve been overwhelmed with stress and worry, and it’s affecting my ability to focus on school and my life in general.
