<div>Hello world, my name is Alexander Valderrama and I am an award-winning emerging filmmaker in South Florida. My last project <em>A Sick Mind</em> won the Jury Award for Best Picture at the FilmGate Festival in Miami.

<div>My entire life, I've drawn from a well of amazing movies that have had an impact on me. <strong>It is my dream to be able to put something back into that well and create a film that will be remembered long after I'm gone.</strong>

<div>The next project I'll be tackling is a short film based on the life of Elmer Wayne Henley Jr. In the late 60s to early 70s a serial killer named Dean Corll lured many Houston boys to their deaths aided by his teenage accomplice, the aforementioned Wayne.

<div>This film is about Wayne's story, about the crushing weight of being involved in such a horrific crime and the fear that keeps him perpetuating it. The goal with this project is to film a 7-page snapshot of this much larger story with the intention of screening it at film festivals and securing funding to be able to create a mini-series about this tragic event.

<div>The zeitgeist around serial killers is at an all-time high. Netflix is putting major resources towards their <em>Monster </em>series and Peacock just released a series about John Wayne Gacy, another infamous murderer. I have a small window to be able to capitalize on this and tell this story. Your donation to help make this short film is the first step to actualizing this vision.
