<div>In April 2025, after months of misdiagnosis and increasing pain and symptoms, Sergio went to the emergency room and was tragically diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that has metastasized to his hip and spine. The doctors found a large, inoperable tumor in his prostate that is invading his urethra and rectal area, causing him severe constant pain. To make matters worse, his kidneys were not draining properly due to the cancer, a condition called hydronephrosis; therefore, surgeons placed stents in his kidneys and a Foley catheter to assist with urination. The Foley catheter has not been removed to this day, limiting his daily activities further.

<div>Since his initial diagnosis, Sergio has had countless doctor and emergency room visits. He has had to have his Foley catheter changed monthly, and he has battled multiple UTIs and anemia, requiring multiple blood transfusions. He has also been hospitalized twice for sepsis, all while undergoing grueling chemotherapy treatments.

<div>At this time, <strong>he is currently facing another critical hurdle. He urgently needs a procedure to replace the stents in his kidneys that were placed in April.</strong> With his condition preventing him from working, he is now faced with no insurance and piling up bills. He desperately needs help to cover the mounting medical costs, especially for this essential surgery and more to come.

<div>​En abril de 2025, después de meses de diagnósticos erróneos y un aumento de dolor y síntomas, Sergio fue a la sala de emergencias y, trágicamente, le diagnosticaron cáncer de próstata en etapa 4 que ha hecho metástasis en su cadera y columna vertebral. Los médicos encontraron un tumor grande e inoperable en su próstata que está invadiendo la uretra y el área rectal, lo que le causa un dolor constante y severo. Para empeorar las cosas, sus riñones no estaban drenando correctamente debido al cáncer, una condición llamada hidronefrosis; por lo tanto, los cirujanos colocaron stents en sus riñones y un catéter Foley para ayudar a orinar.
