<div>On Saturday, August 30th, <strong>Jesse Smith, current Art Teacher at Austin High School, was knocked off his ladder while cutting down a tree that had fallen in his backyard.</strong> He was severely injured and flown to intensive care at Saint Mary’s Rochester, MN. He broke his collarbone and 10 ribs creating a laceration to his lung. He will be having surgery on his ribs; they are placing titanium plates in between them to hopefully help with a more speedy recovery. We will continue to update you on how he is doing.
