<div>Our mom has been through so much in the past few years. After her hospital stay in 2020 with COVID, she has had to be on oxygen because of the damage done to her lungs. COVID also led to her dealing with heart arrhythmia. She has had to have her heart shocked multiple times which has worked until recently. She had to do a heart ablation surgery a few weeks ago to address that. Unfortunately, now she is facing an even bigger challenge.

<div>She has been diagnosed with a very aggressive type of lymphoma. The good news is this type of cancer is very treatable, with a high chance of being cured — but it requires aggressive treatment. Her first chemo has already started.

<div>With her existing health struggles, the road ahead won’t be easy. It will most likely require a lot of time off of work, as the doctor is concerned with her continuing her work on the school bus with her existing health concerns and the drop of immune system due to chemo therapy.
