We need to raise $25,500 in roughly two months for a dear member of our SBCC family! Shep is a Black, Indigenous, disabled, non-binary, queer residing in California. Xe is a neurodivergent multi-medium artist and organizer who has been trying to keep xirself afloat during the pandemic. Xe is currently unemployed, struggling to pay rent and basic living necessities. Additionally, come January 31st, 2021, xe will have to navigate the threat of eviction due to the end of the limited protections offered by the LA County Temporary Eviction Moratorium. Xe needs $7,000 in order to pay back the months of rent xe was unable to pay due to COVID-19 financial hardship, another $1,500 to cover a deposit for a new living situation, $5,000 to cover three months rent for a new place as xe continues to search for employment for xirself. An additional $12,000 will be used to purchase a vehicle for better employment opportunities. This leaves our goal at $25,500, we have rounded to $30k to account for GoFundMe fees.
Please help us keep our family safe by donating any amount of funds you are able to part with, by boosting and sharing as widely as possible, and inviting your friends and families to donate!
Much love & gratitude,
