Many lives have been lost, people remain missing, and homes, roads, and vital infrastructure have been destroyed. Thousands are left without shelter, food, or clean water.

<div>I was born in São Vicente, Cabo Verde, and although I currently live abroad, my family and community remain there. Together with my friend and co-organizer, Giselle Santos Pinto, we are organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Grupo Desportivo Recreativo e Cultural - Ponta D'Pom, a local community organization we were both involved with while living in São Vicente. They are actively providing aid and support to families affected in the area.

<div>The funds raised will be transferred via wire transfer from the bank account of my co-organizer, Giselle Santos Pinto, directly to the official bank account of Grupo Desportivo Recreativo e Cultural - Ponta D'Pom. This ensures the funds go directly to the local organization providing on-the-ground aid.
