In memory of Thamboe Paramanathan

Story

On May 18th, 2025, we said goodbye to our beloved grandfather, Thamboe Paramanathan, after a difficult four-year battle with lung cancer. Over the past few months, he received compassionate and attentive care in the Palliative Care Unit at Sunnybrook Hospital, where the medical team helped ensure his comfort and dignity during the final stages of his journey. To honour his memory and the incredible care he received, we have organized this fundraiser in support of Sunnybrook Hospital. Instead of flowers, we kindly ask our friends and family to consider making a donation. Every contribution will go directly to the Palliative Care Unit, allowing the dedicated doctors and nurses at Sunnybrook to continue their life-changing work as they support other families facing similar challenges. Our grandfather was a man of quiet strength, kindness, and deep love for his family. We are forever grateful to the palliative care team at Sunnybrook for walking beside him, and us, during this chapter. Their compassion, professionalism, and warmth made all the difference.
