Help Kathy cover the cost of Dan Carsons funeral expenses

Hello, my name is Nelena and I have started this fundraiser to help Kathy cover the cost of Dan's funeral expenses.

Since I was eleven years old, Kathy has been like another mother to me. When Harmony became one of my best friends, Kathy became my other Mom. I think it was natural for Kathy to take us kids in as her own. If you know Kathy, that's just how she is. In her home your always welcome. In her heart your always cared for.

Dan's genuine nature and kind heart was evident the first time I met him and shined through when we gathered around the dinner table. I could see why Kathy fell so in love. I got the impression that he might be quiet at times but had some great stories to tell if you'd just listen. Dan's hugs were heartfelt and you just knew when he said you're welcome home he meant it.

Kathy has explained to me that the costs of the funeral were much higher than expected. They will be buried together in the family plot which was already purchased. Dan's stepfather, and brother in law, Glenn, lovingly built his "box" as he use to talk about it. It was more expensive than initially thought given wood costs. That left the expense of transportation, the casket, and holding at an unexpected $5,800. Though Dan was a proud Vietnam veteran, the military does not cover costs outside the military grounds.

Dan is deeply missed and his memory will always be cherished. Thank you for considering donating in Dan Carson's memory. You're welcome to share your stories, prayers, and warm thoughts.
