Donate for Starlinks: Help North Carolina Reconnect

The mountains of North Carolina were hit by Helene on September 27, 2024. A day that the people in the area will never forget. A day that the lives of so many changed forever.

I grew up in Florida and have experienced hurricanes over my 62 years, but nothing like the devastation that happened in the mountains. Even after 14 days, many people do not have electricity. Cell phone coverage is spotty at best. People are having to travel for WiFi coverage, which doesn’t sound terrible, but to fill out insurance paperwork, FEMA paperwork, pay bills, or even simple things like communicating with friends or family requires WiFi.

I am trying to raise money for Starlinks to provide that access. If you are able, please feel free to donate. As someone who lives in Bakerville, North Carolina, it pains my heart to see this.
